ABOUT HAJJ COMMITTEE OF INDIA
The Haj Committee of India commonly known as Central Haj Committee (CHC) has been established under the Haj Committee Act 2002, for making arrangements for the pilgrimage of Muslims for Haj, and for matters connected therewith. It is a body corporate having perpetual succession. The Committee discharges the following main functions:-
Residential Coaching Institute for Civii Services
Haj Committee of India (HCOI) took a major initiative of training Muslim Graduates for Civil Services examination. The HCOI has in the wider interest of Muslims established a Coaching & Guidance Cell (C&GC) in its Haj House, at Palton Road, CST, Mumbai, in August 2009.
MEDIUM OF ENTRANCE EXAM
Those candidates who choose English/Urdu as their medium of answering the question only should apply. Coaching and guidance shall be imparted through English medium.
HCI RCA EXAM PATTERN
There will be (2) two tests of one Hour duration each i.e
The written test of Paper1- will comprise of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), having 50 Questions
from different subjects pertaining to UPSC Preliminary Examination i.e.
History/Geography/ Polity/Economics/ Science-Technology/Environment/
Arts & Culture/ Current Affairs, for 100 Marks. Each question carries 02
marks, with negative marks of 0.66 for each wrong answer. Paper-2- CSAT
of the written test will comprise of comprehension, logical reasoning &
basic numeracy having 40 Question for 100 marks. Each question carries
2.5 marks with negative marks of 0.83 for each wrong answer.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION
A Graduate/Final Year appeared from recognized University / Institute in any
subjectat the time of filling application form. It is mandatory to submit Graduate/Final Year Mark
Sheet/Certificate at the time of admission; else his/her application will be treated as cancelled
SELECTION PROCESS
1-There will be Written Entrance Test of Paper-l Multiple Choice Question (MCQ), having 50
Questions from different subjects, pertaining to UPSCPrelims Examination l.e. History/Geography,
Polity/Economics, Science-Technology/Environment,Arts & Culture, Current Affairs, for 100 Marks.
EachQuestion carries 02 marks, with negative marks of 0.66 for each wrong answer, and
Paper-2
CSAT-Comprehension,logical, basic numeracy having 40 Question for 100 Marks. Each Question
carries 02.5 marks with negative marks of 0.83 for each wrong answer.
Note:-Paper-2.will be qualifying paper with the minimum marks fixed at 30% .Merit list will be
prepared on the basismarks of paper-l.
2– A Security Deposit of Rs.15,OOO/(Rupees – Fifteen Thousand Only) will have to be paid at the time
of Admission. Once the Candidate is admitted in Haj House,he/she will not be allowed to leave
before Preliminary Examination to be conducted as per upsc date, else his/her deposit will be forfeited.
3-Refund of Security Deposit will only be made after Preliminary Examination
